About the Course

In this course, you will gain a solid understanding of the environments in which international businesses have operated historically and continue to operate today. We begin by exploring key theories and histories of international trade. We then examine globalization and its profound effects on the world of international business. Afterward, we analyze the diverse political, economic, and ethical environments that shape global business practices. Finally, we review contemporary international trade agreements and national trade laws and regulations. By understanding the local context in which businesses function, you will build a strong foundation for achieving long-term success in international markets. The course is ideal for anyone interested in international business, including professionals in corporations, government agencies, NGOs, as well as students and individuals aiming for global careers. It also appeals to those interested in geopolitics, given the central role international trade plays in global affairs. With minimal prerequisites—mainly an interest in geopolitics, economics, or business—the course welcomes participants of varying backgrounds and includes refresher material to support learners as needed....

Very well structured course....especially for those of use who don't have a background in business. Videos were short and to the point. Readings were well postured.

The final assignment is just asking the same questions as asked during each assignment of each week. Some data is old. It's only reading information and answering questions, it's not very interactive and doesn't make you think.
